By 2002 they had four staff working with them from their home which was getting a little crowded. The problem was solved by amalgamating with two well known and long established print businesses.
Hawera-based Vision Print joined them in late 2002 and Aries Print in early 2003. The combined companies then had two premises and ten staff.
These changes have taken the business from strength to strength and they now boast a nationwide customer base, along with leading edge print technology in both the digital and traditional offset markets.
August 2008 saw the next step in the evolution. Peter and Joan Shore retired from Shore Print in Hawera. Vision and Shore Print combined, moved into much bigger and brighter premises (opposite Pak'n Save) on Princes Street and re-branded as Graphix Explosion Hawera.
November 2010 saw big changes for the New Plymouth office. The team moved into newly refurbished premises and have installed the latest Fuji Xerox c1000 digital press.
This is the only press of its kind in Taranaki and gives all their customers access to the highest quality printing technology currently available in New Zealand.
While growing Graphix Explosion the team have always tried to keep the small business feel with attention to building relationships, listening to and learning from their clients and providing exactly what they need.
This is perhaps best summed up by the following:
Truth — no hidden costs
Reliable — right first time and on time, guaranteed
Unbeatable — passion for what we do
Superior — cutting-edge design and print technology
Totally — Taranaki, like no other
